Delhi Food Tour at Delhi - Events High

Delhi Food Tour at Delhi - This food tour is a food walk and city tour in one compact package which is a great thing to do if you have 5-6 hours to spare. The guests discover the culinary delights of Old Delhi and New Delhi from some of the most famous food joints of the city. Some of them have been in business for more than 100 years. In addition to food, the guests also get the chance to see a number of hidden corners of the city which normal tourists don't really know about. The itinerary and food items included can be tailored to suit the dietary requirements of the guests. During the food walk, guests visit 8-10 food joints and taste 18-19 different dishes including one full fledged meal at the end. None of the food items included are too spicy but can be made if so desired. In Old Delhi we walk for short distances and use cycle rickshaws for longer distances. Once the guests are finished with Old Delhi, we get in to the car to explore New Delhi and it's food. During the tour, we also visit a few attractions of the city like the biggest spice market in city, a charitable kitchen feeding thousands of people every day and a few others. This is a perfect introduction to India and Indian cuisines for first time as well as regular visitors. I am Shannon's discovery at Old Delhi, Delhi, India

Food Tour in Delhi

http://gonetraveling.me/delhi-food-tour/ We booked a street food tour with Food Tour in Delhi (Ranked #7 out of 224 activities in New Delhi on TripAdvisor) I liked the foods we sampled but honestly noting really blew my taste buds away. Was expecting food being prepared by simple means, popular with the locals (like the street food Rick Stein’s sampled when he visited to India in search of the true India flavours). Most places we visited are established vendors, except a couple local ‘out there’ vendors. However my taste palate is not that of everybody’s. I would recommend this food tour because it is a great way to explore Old and New Delhi, and try things you otherwise would have not tried. I loved the organic ice cream, the walk to the roof tops of the spice trade markets, and letting the busy streets offer me a glimpse of what old-time England could have worked like.

That is exactly what they thought Claire and Darren when they decided to hire a gastronomic tour on their journey through India . "We love Indian food and also wanted to know the part city tour of Delhi, which will only spend a day, so this tour is the perfect combination , " says Claire in the car to take us to Old Delhi . That's the idea because that Jaidev mounted four years ago India Food Tour , a company that offers culinary tours and cooking classes in Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Agra. "Indian food is popular abroad, but only here is authentic , " says the founder of the company. Today this British couple has hired a tour four hours that are not for eating. Eating and walking. Or walk and eat. The order of the factors does not alter the product. "Have you eaten today?". It is the first question that Jaidev makes them. "We got good food on the plane, but the truth is that now we are hungry," replied Darren. And the tour can not start with good intentions Comida's Magazine

A walk through India’s culinary delights

A walk through India’s culinary delights Hindustan Times http://www.hindustantimes.com/delhi/a-walk-through-india-s-culinary-delights/story-uI85wKEk0GlWaeJOcDoiCP.html Mike Sorsyth and his wife Rachel are learning the art of cooking 'aloo jeera' at the Dwarka house of Rajeev Goyal, their cooking instructor. Goyal guides the couple as they struggle with the amount of turmeric to be used. The next lesson, due in half an hour, is in the preparation of bhindi (ladies' finger). The Sorsyths are part of a group of foreign tourists who are at Goyals's house to learn traditional Indian cooking. "We have always considered India as a culinary heaven and relished Indian dishes. We wanted to learn how food is cooked at Indian homes," said Mike. "Learning to cook traditional Indian dishes was an important part of our India trip. We are going back with lots of spices so that we try out Indian dishes back home," said Rachel, his wife.
