Late Evening Delhi Food Tour for Lynsey Wolstenholme and her friends

Late Evening Delhi Food Tour for Lynsey Wolstenholme and her friends http://foodtourindelhi.com/late-evening-delhi-food-tour-for-lynsey-wolstenholme-and-her-friends/ REVIEW: Fantastic - do not miss this! We did this tour as a group of 6 friends whilst backpacking in India. Whilst quite pricey on a backpacking budget I can honestly say it is well worth the money! Rajeev and JD are great hosts and good fun to spend a few hours with; and most importantly showed us some exceptionally good food in Delhi. The food is varied and consistently good, and served from spots you are unlikely to find as a tourist - I had been to Delhi a couple of times before and had no idea these places existed! We especially enjoyed the tour around Old Delhi, which is amazing but can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know where you are going, so it was cool to be led around and fed! The kulfi stop will live long in the memory - Recommended. https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g304551-d3879008-r192424273-Food_Tour_in_Delhi-New_Delhi_National_Capital_Territory_of_Delhi.html# #travel #food #tours #foodtour Tour Type: Delhi Food Tour. Custom Delhi Food Tour for Shankar Iyer and Mike Wisnefski

Custom Delhi Food Tour for Shankar Iyer and Mike Wisnefski http://foodtourindelhi.com/custom-delhi-food-tour-for-shankar-iyer-and-mike-wisnefski/ REVIEW: absolute "must do" when in Delhi I wish my brain had more storage space for the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, etc that i experience on this tour. This is a first class operation and very personable. follow the guides lead to a world that most foodies can only read about or watch on TV. Experience of a Lifetime This is easily in the Top Ten of my all time best travel experiences!! Having visited Delhi about 20 times in my life, I've never come close to experiencing the journey that JD and Rajeev took us on. In my opinion, it's a must do for any traveler that has a love of food and culture. The places they took me and my friend Mike (from Chicago) to, even my Delhi residing relatives would not have been able to find. You can not do this on your own, I promise you. Besides the incredible tastes, these two were able to feed our ears, our noses and our soul. Oh, they're also hilarious, knowledgable and incredibly professional. All the places they take you to have been certified through years of research by JD and Rajeev to be safe and hygenic. Rajeev also pours hand sanitizer on your hands about every five minutes! JD will take snaps so you can focus on your five senses instead of fumbling with you camera. I highly recommend this to any visitor of this amazing city! #travel #food #tours #foodtour Tour Type: Custom Delhi Food Tour. Delhi Food Walk with Spice Introduction

Delhi Food Walk with Spice Introduction http://foodtourindelhi.com/delhi-food-walk-with-spice-introduction/ #foodwalk #foodtour Tour Type: Delhi Food Tour and Spice Introduction Guest Name: Keith Tour Date : 26th October 2013 Indian Food Tours of Delhi REVIEW: My wife and I enjoyed the street food tour of Delhi on 18 October 2013. What a fantastic way to start a vacation! Jaidev and Rajeev were the perfect hosts, informative and sociable, and took us to places we would never have heard of and would never have found. From hotel pick-up to drop-off, it was quite perfect: air-conditioned car, bottles of water, hand wipes after each food stall (how thoughtful!). The food and food-customs are all put in historical and cultural contexts making this a real learning experience. If you are British and think you know Indian food, you may have to think again and expand your horizons. Don't worry about getting sick from the food. Rajeev and Jaidev have never had customers get ill after their tours, and all the places they take you are tried and trusted. Be prepared to get close to the bustle, noise, and smells of Old Delhi, and be prepared to cough when in the spice market (the chili dust is lung-penetrating stuff!). Don't hesitate to tell them your preferences because you will find them as flexible as you want them to be. Jaidev also took photos of us at the various locations and later sent us links where we could download. Quite wonderful. Don't hesitate to book this tour. You won't regret it. I never flatter. All the other reviews on this page are spot on. Book it. Now.

Delhi Food Walk with Maureen and Steven

Delhi Food Walk with Maureen and Steven http://foodtourindelhi.com/delhi-food-walk-with-maureen-and-steven/ REVIEW: Do it! This tour exceeded our wildest expectations - we saw parts of Delhi we would have never experienced, ate a ton of great food, learned about the city, its culture, its different neighbourhoods, all the while receiving first class white glove service with Raj and Jaidev! From start to finish everything was perfect. Highlights (among many others) must have been exploring Old Delhi, sampling ice cream prepared inside a mango, a trip to the spice market (be prepared to sneeze a lot), touring the kitchen of the temple, and of course the amazing food all throughout. Make sure to save some space for the last stop! We even went back to one of the places the following day by ourselves to buy more chocolate. By the end of the evening we were completely stuffed, which was a shame, because Raj and Jaidev were ready to keep us going - maybe a missed opportunity to experience Delhi after hours! (but perhaps a good excuse to return again soon to do the tour one more time ;-) Overall a great way to spend a day in Delhi, to see things off the beaten tourist trail, and something I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. #foodwalks #foodtours Tour Type: Delhi Food Tour. Delhi Food Tour for Andy and Sarah Underwood

Delhi Food Tour for Andy and Sarah Underwood http://foodtourindelhi.com/delhi-food-tour-for-andy-and-sarah-underwood/ REVIEW: The trouble with writing this review is that I want to get over how much good food, fun and excitement this tour provided without spoiling any surprises that you will experience if you book it. I am a greedy englishmen who has been cooking and eating Indian food all of my adult life. I have been lucky to make friends with a great many Indians while living in London for the past 13 years and they have taken me to the best Indian places to be had in the city (and there are many). They were good, really good but the food we had on this tour of old and new Delhi was in a different league. We had dishes I knew and ones that I didn't. We had dishes that I thought I knew but I now know different. The lassi, oh my the lassi. I used to be fairly ambivalent towards lassi, now I'm trying to find a local potter to make me a clay mug (you'll find out) The food alone would have made this a great experience, but in addition to that the company of Rajeev and Jaidev made it all the more special. Their knowledge is encyclopaedic but more than that they were both very warm lads with a great sense of humour. We were out with them for 8.5 hours from when they picked us up from our hotel until when they dropped us back and the time flew by. The last thing to say is please go on this tour. If you do I pretty much guarantee that you will recommend it to everyone else. Have fun and have a light lunch! #foodwalks #foodtours Tour Type: Full Day Delhi Food Tour. The food tour was incredible and definitely the highlight of my trip! I was able to try numerous delicious street food options while also getting to take in the sights of Delhi. Delhi Food Tour with Judy Pettiford http://foodtourindelhi.com/delhi-food-tour-with-judy-pettiford/ Description of the tour by guest: http://purplefig.blogspot.in/2013/09/delhi-day-one.html After some toing and froing between our guides we met up with Rajeev and JD from Food Tour in Delhi at about 3.00pm. Exuberant Rajeev and the quieter JD were to lead us through the most extraordinary NINE hour food adventure through some of the oldest (and scariest) parts of Delhi, introducing us to some of the most authentic food tastes and experiences we could never imagine. It’s now almost 24 hours after we concluded the tour and no gastric upsets yet – so it proved to be a completely successful food experience in every sense!! We set off in rickshaws through the crowded, gridlocked streets and laneways of heritage listed Old Delhi. #travel #food #tours #foodwalk Tour Type: Delhi Food Tour. Late Evening Delhi Food Tour with Amanda and Nick Ebner http://foodtourindelhi.com/late-evening-delhi-food-tour-with-amanda-and-nick-ebner/ Tour Type: Delhi Food Tour. Link Guest Name: Amanda and Nick Ebner Tour Date : 19th October 2013 REVIEW: We started this food tour late evening by starting in Old Delhi, then visiting a few places in New Delhi including Hauz Khaas, Connaught Place and Chanakyapuri. Food lovers' paradise in Delhi If you have a single day in Delhi - even a half day! -and do nothing else, TAKE THIS TOUR. As an Indian food enthusiast and adventurous traveler, the Indian Food Tour in Delhi was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences of my entire life. Rajeev and Jaidev were professional, communicative, humorous, friendly, and protective - all the qualities you'd want in tour guides and food experts, especially in a country where street food and culture can be intimidating. From our first bite of curry in Chandni Chowk to our last late-night beer in New Delhi, this tour was nonstop action, learning, and flavor. We sampled chaat, sniffed and sneezed our way through the spice market, tasted a kebab unlike any other, discovered new Indian breads and curries we'd never tried before in the States, feasted on kulfi fit for a king (truly - the ice cream maker caters royal and celebrity weddings), visited a Sikh temple food kitchen, checked out European-style chicken pastries and artisan chocolate at Connaught Place, and finished up with a laid-back evening at a local live music joint where we heard awesome indie musicians over some spicy french fries. You truly cannot miss this one-of-a-kind experience - Rajeev tailors everything to YOUR tastes, YOUR preferences and YOUR timeline, meaning the tour can be as short as 5 hours and as long as...all night! You will be able to taste foods you would never try on your own and learn the food and cultural histories of everything you eat - Rajeev is a born-and-bred Delhi food expert, and it shows. If ever we return to Delhi, the first call we'll make is to Rajeev for a "redux." Cannot miss! https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g304551-d3879008-r182595879-Food_Tour_in_Delhi-New_Delhi_National_Capital_Territory_of_Delhi.html#

India: A Delhi Food Tour - Pineapple Pursuit

http://www.pineapplepursuit.com/india-food-tour Our favorite activity while in Delhi was our Old Delhi Food Tour with India Food Tours. This husband and wife duo knows how to get down with the street food in Delhi. Raj (said husband) guided us through some of the best and longest standing street food stops in the Old Delhi neighborhood. While on this tour we had to break all of our India food rules, but it was totally worth it and we are still Delhi Belly free! According to Raj, the food culture in India changes every ~200km, so we still have plenty of food to discover during our time here, but this was a great introduction into the everyday staples of a Delhi local. http://indiafoodtour.in/

India’s people are just as colorful as their home and normally accommodate the wannabe photojournalist with sometimes fun and often serious poses. Let's Go on a Delhi Walking Food Tour - Gourmet Getaways

Let’s Go on a Delhi Walking Food Tour http://www.gourmetgetaways.com.au/lets-go-delhi-walking-food-tour/ Our guide for the day was Jaidev who took us to our first food stop. It was at an unassuming restaurant that we were told had been operating for more than 100 years. They were breakfast and most people were enjoy puri with various curries. Puri is a deep fried bread which puffs up whilst been cooked. The puffy shell is crisp and hollow leaving the centre free for a sweet or savoury filling. The picture above shows our mini banquet. It consisted of a potato curry, vegetable stuffed pastries which were a lot like a samosa, tamarind sauce and a sweet nagori halwa inside a mini puri. Everything tasted fabulous! Even the children ate well. Lachlan doesn’t like hot curries and although the potato curry had a little warmth he enjoyed the taste. We were enjoying all the dishes when our guide warned us that we would need to pace ourselves.

A walk through India’s culinary delights

http://www.hindustantimes.com/delhi/a-walk-through-india-s-culinary-delights/story-uI85wKEk0GlWaeJOcDoiCP.html Mike Sorsyth and his wife Rachel are learning the art of cooking 'aloo jeera' at the Dwarka house of Rajeev Goyal, their cooking instructor. Goyal guides the couple as they struggle with the amount of turmeric to be used. The next lesson, due in half an hour, is in the preparation of bhindi (ladies' finger). The Sorsyths are part of a group of foreign tourists who are at Goyals's house to learn traditional Indian cooking. "We have always considered India as a culinary heaven and relished Indian dishes. We wanted to learn how food is cooked at Indian homes," said Mike. "Learning to cook traditional Indian dishes was an important part of our India trip. We are going back with lots of spices so that we try out Indian dishes back home," said Rachel, his wife.

An Evening with Indian Food Tours

http://travelsleeprepeat.me.uk/an-evening-with-indian-food-tours/ AN EVENING WITH INDIAN FOOD TOURS Following a successful day of shopping we went on a food tour in the evening with Indian Food Tours in Delhi. Our guide was Jaidev, a very knowledgable guy who knew so much about Delhi’s history and took us to food establishments we would have never otherwise found. Due to the amount of food we consumed our tour only lasted a few hours. True to word we arrived back at the hotel with full tummies and happy faces. Jaidev was a very kind and informative guide, we enjoyed learning about Old Delhi and tasting true Indian food from vendors we would have never found. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy and learn about Delhi’s foodie culture.
